Michael received a BA in Financial Administration and Mathematics from Michigan State University in 1988 and an MBA in Finance from Wayne State University in 1989. Before joining Raymond James, he spent 12 years as a Managing Director and Senior Institutional Consultant at Wells Fargo Advisors and three years as a Retirement Plans Consultant with the PRIME Asset Consulting Group at UBS. Prior to that, Michael spent almost 14 years working with retirement vendors (NBD Bank, First of America Bank, CIGNA Retirement & Investment Services) servicing client relationships and selling new retirement plan solutions to plan sponsors. He has extensive experience and background with the design and implementation of: 401(k), Profit Sharing, 403(b), 457, Defined Benefit Pension, Target Benefit, Nonqualified Deferred Compensation, Supplemental Unemployment Benefit, Endowment, Foundation, Nuclear Decommissioning and Charitable Trusts. His responsibilities have included assisting clients with plan legal/technical compliance, investment policy design and implementation, asset allocation modeling, asset liability management, money manager searches, vendor reviews/searches, portfolio performance monitoring, fiduciary file maintenance, new product and service introduction and review of key administrative processes and procedures. Michael holds FINRA Series 7 and 66 Securities Licenses.
