Founder & Managing Director, SWRG Financial Advisor; RJFS

Krista applies her more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry to helping her clients fulfill their goals, while setting realistic expectations and assuming an appropriate level of risk conducive to each client’s risk tolerance and desired outcome.

Working with retired clients and those close to retirement is a large part of Krista’s practice. “Over time, these relationships develop into working with their family, their estate planner and their beneficiaries,” Krista said.

“I am a helper by nature, and truly want to guide clients to their retirement and investment goals,” Krista added. “My approach is straightforward. I strive to distill complex retirement and investment information into language easily understood by clients. There is no desire on my part to impress with complicated financial terms or an alphabet of acronyms.” She works to fully understand her client’s objectives, then creates a clear path to help get them there.

Krista’s introduction to financial planning began at an early age. “My father was a longtime stockbroker and Certified Financial Planner™ professional,” Krista said. “I worked in his office beginning in high school and later became his partner. My path to the family business was a natural progression with years of on-the-job training.”

Krista joined Raymond James in October 2020. “What led me to Raymond James is all about what’s best for my clients – the best cybersecurity, the depth and breadth of the diverse investments, and award-winning investment research,” said Krista.

Previously in her career, Krista worked at Wedbush Securities for 14 years as a vice president, branch manager and financial advisor. Earlier, she was an investment executive, operations manager and registered sales assistant at Ragen MacKenzie/Wells Fargo Investments for 12 years. She has her Series 7, 9, 10, 63 and 65 licenses.

Krista is a lifelong Alaskan and lives here with her husband, Jim, their daughter, Winter, and the family cat, Cali. Krista is a member of the Rotary Club of Fairbanks and attended the University of Alaska-Fairbanks and Monroe Catholic High School. She is a student of dance and loves good whodunit mysteries and lighthearted fiction. In the summer, she enjoys weekends at Harding Lake.
