Dianna Burkholder
Branch Owner, Wayfinder Wealth Management Group Financial Advisor, RJFS

Making a positive difference in people’s lives is what drives Dianna. A financial advisor since 2009, she helps clients navigate big life decisions and milestones, including retirement, by developing strategies to help them pursue their goals and become good stewards of their money. “I understand not just my clients’ goals, but their values,” she says. “We go beyond discussing money and dive into everything from past experiences to current events.”

Her deep roots in her community are her strength, and she has worked with employees of many of the largest employers in the area. Collaborating alongside tax professionals, she takes a down‐to‐earth approach in helping clients with the decisions that will carry them through retirement. As a passionate advocate for her clients, no detail is too small for her to analyze and no concept is too complex to translate into clearer terms.

Dianna came from a humble upbringing. Her mother was a single mother with three kids by the age of 17. She grew up on her grandparents’ tobacco farm in Kentucky, where her family relied on her grandparents, the government, or a combination of the two. She learned early on the significant impact that financial decisions can have on one’s life and that life decisions can have on one’s finances.

Dianna started out in the financial industry 15 years ago with one purpose in mind: to make sure that her clients never have to rely on their children, the government, or any combination of the two. She worked for a bank before joining Edward Jones as a financial advisor during the financial crisis more than a decade ago. She affiliated with Raymond James in 2020, drawn by the chance to serve her clients at a more holistic level.

Outside of the office, she stays active in the community as vice president of the Merchants Association of Gretna, where she has been a member for 10 years, and as chair for the local Strawberry & Wine Festival, a fundraiser she has helped organize for the past seven years. The funds from the event have benefited the local fire department, rescue squad, youth sports, Boy Scout troops and other worthy organizations. Dianna has been a member of Chatham Rotary Club for five years and has volunteered with a number of local nonprofits.

Originally from Kentucky, she lives in Gretna, Virginia, with her husband, Brenden, and their two dogs, Link and Lady. Dianna and Brenden are avid scuba divers, certified to the level of “rescue diver,” and love hiking, skiing, powerlifting and kayaking.
